Our client is a market-leading Australian IT company. A great opportunity has emerged for lawyers with between 2 and 8 years experience to join their dynamic Sydney CBD based in-house legal team.

This is a perfect opportunity for any innovative and committed lawyer seeking a role that offers exciting and challenging work in a dynamic company.

Providing expert legal advice to sales, commercial and procurement groups in relation to bids, tenders and contracts, you should have a background in IT law and/or general commercial law.

Working on a range complex and interesting matters, your responsibilities will include:

- Identifying, analysing and resolving legal issues and risk disputes in relation to commercial contracts and agreements

- Drafting, reviewing, amending and negotiating commercial and third party contracts

- Briefing legal firms and overseeing the quality of external legal advice, and

- Identifying and resolving legal issues and risks affecting the organisation

You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients, as well as maintain effective working relationships with peer groups and key internal stakeholders. A high level of written and oral communication skills is therefore inherent to this role.

You should display a track record of responsibility and professionalism as opportunities for leadership and self-management are also on offer.

Other skills important to the role include:

- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment

- High attention to detail

- Strong drafting skills

Previous in-house IT sector experience will be looked upon favourably.
